P25 Latest New Products and Services

Project 25 has a vibrant ecosystem of users, manufacturers, consultants, and government support with a continuous flow of new products and services that leverage the latest technology.
This session will be offered as a Power-point presentation highlighting the latest New P25 Products and Services from the members of the Project 25 Technology Interest Group (PTIG). Categories will include P25 Fixed Stations and Repeaters, Mobiles and Portables, Pagers, Vehicle Repeaters, Consoles, Networks, Software, Test Equipment, System Integration, and Consulting Services.
The presentation will include slides that feature some of the latest new P25 Products and Services. The slides will describe user needs met, benefits to Public Safety, and the relevance of the new product or service to the existing market

P25 Multi-System Roaming and Sharing in the Real World
Public Safety Systems Interoperability with the P25 Inter Sub-System Interface (ISSI) and Console Sub-system Interface (CSSI)

Many Public Safety practitioners desire the ability to roam across jurisdictional lines, region-wide, state-wide and in some cases nationwide with full, protected, communications connectivity and interoperability. The Federal Partnership for Interoperable Communications (FPIC), supported by the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Emergency Communications (OEC), recently convened a group of Project 25 System users and program managers to better understand the current state of P25 system to system interoperability using the Project 25 Inter-Sub System Interface (ISSI) and Console Sub system Interface (CSSI This proposed session will present the findings of the two OEC - FPIC sponsored P25 System interoperability working sessions. Issues encountered will be provided as well as recommended changes and enhancements that should be considered and implemented.
In addition, the presentation will cover Automatic and Manual roaming between P25 Systems today with no system links present.

P25 Revealed: P25 Basics for the New PSAP Dispatcher/Administrator

There is a continuing flow of new Dispatchers, Call Center Managers and Administrators at Public Safety Answering Points. Many are coming from Information Technology (IT) backgrounds or field positions that have not required familiarity with Land Mobile Radio (LMR) technology or the Project 25 Standards. This session will offer a basic tutorial on what P25 is; and what it isn't. The alphabet soup of P25 terminology will be explained along with the various P25 Interfaces, and what levels of Interoperability can be expected in P25 systems. Radio User considerations and options will be explained by an experienced P25 System Administrator. A comprehensive list of P25 resources including: News sources, update reports, tools, databases, and testing documents will be presented. In addition, time will be reserved for questions to the panel of P25 experts.
