Interoperability Webcast Offered by APCO, Public Safety Communications Webinars

Title: Interoperability-The Driving Force Behind P25
Date: June 16, 2011 Time: 02:00 PM Eastern / 11:00 AM Pacific.
Cost: Free, register for access via the APCO Event Registration URL.
Presenter: Chris Kindelspire, director of electronic operations for the Grundy County Emergency Telephone System Board in Morris, Illinois.

Description Information is copied here from APCO Website:

Interoperability is the ability of public safety service and support providers-law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, emergency management, public utilities, transportation and others-to communicate with staff from other responding agencies, to exchange voice and/or data communications on demand and in real time. Project 25 was established to create and promote voluntary common system standards for digital public safety communications. This presentation will describe the need for the standard, explain the basic elements of P25 and how it works, and outline the benefits derived from its implementation.

The full description and registration information for free access can be found at the APCO International website for this Webcast-Webinar.
